What happens if YouTube goes down temporarily?

What is a dedicated IP and why does it matter?
Each stream gets its own unique IPv6 address. This means your channel is completely isolated from other users — their issues never affect your stream. It also reduces the risk of YouTube flagging your stream due to shared infrastructure. Available on Pro, Studio and Business plans.

Which plans include a dedicated IP?
Dedicated IP is included in Pro, Studio and Business plans. Trial and Starter plans use a shared IP. You can see your dedicated IP address directly on the Dashboard.
Can my YouTube channel get banned due to shared IP?
With a dedicated IP this risk is eliminated entirely. Each stream has its own isolated address. On Starter plan the IP is shared but monitored — we have never had a ban caused by shared IP infrastructure.
